Sports 200 Class
 

Boats must be a production model runabout with a minimum length of 17ft (5.18m) and powered by a single outboard engine. Engines must be factory standard, maximum 200hp, with no additional porting, polishing, blueprinting, ECU changes or other performance modifications permitted. Mercury 200XS ROS motors are excluded from this class.

 

Standard production exhaust tuners must be fitted, and no remote water pick-ups are allowed. Gearcases must remain stock, though racing propellers, fibreglass reeds, nose cones, and removal of oil injection are permitted.

 

All Sports 200 boats must be structurally sound, capable of seating four people, and carry a minimum of two crew during racing. Speed is unrestricted. All boats and crews must comply with NZOPA safety requirements.
